The eggs you pick up from the store are shipped from thousands of miles away. After they were packed, up to a month old, listing the packed date. is the food you put in your body. Advertising & lobbyists are very powerful. Is how you read that label what they mean? Or legally does it mean something else? Snapshot into regenerative farm life at DocMayberry Farms. Happy Hens, Happy Eggs, Happy Land. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DdLHpKMjtLz/ https://www.instagram.com/reel/DdLG7aaAbjU/ gathering eggs for the day. QUICHE! When the hens are generous we make food to freeze. STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS... how do we get roosters when we bought all females? Well, anatomically it can be difficult to sex chicks and has to be done by a professional or it can cause serious injury to the chick. So unless they are a sex-linked breed where their coloring is different by gender they are sold with 90% gender certainty. And so, a few roosters usually come along for the ride 🤗 OUR LAST chicken tractor for the summer... 🤞 Its been a lot of work, tractor #7 of 7 & all different styles. May have to build some more in the fall if we decide to expand our flock further (Im already making a list for more sky blue eggs 🪺).
